If you work in or around the 15th arrondissment you’ll get to save yourself a restaurant ticket tomorrow courtesy of Saint Burger. The startup will be handing out burgers to lucky passersby or expats who just happen to be at the right place at the exact time 😉
Saint Burger was founded by Jean Valfort (Groupe Panorama – Astair, Farago, Canard et Champagne…) and Remi Chabanas (ex-Uber Eats). They’ve moved away from the physical restaurant business model and focused their service entirely on deliveries. Available 7 days a week with deliveries in the 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, Boulogne and Bordeaux from 11:45 to 23:30. They emphasize the importance of receiving a warm burger, and for that reason, a promise is made on their website – “You’ll receive your burger within 20 minutes of placing an order”. Although there is an asterisk next to that promise “Délais de livraisons non contractuels”, Barney Stinson immediately comes to mind #challengeaccepted.
When asked why they’ve decided to give away burgers on the 17th September, they told us “We aim to invent a unique delivery experience for our customers, that is why we are particularly focused on quality, packaging and customer support. We really want to be different in everything we do – especially marketing – that is why we decided to organize this free burger event in Paris”.
What can we expect from their burgers? The meat is sourced from Normandie, the buns are made in Paris and the vegetables are sourced from local markets, making it sound like an appetizing combination. So, if you’re in the mood for a free home-cooked burger for lunch, where do you need to be?
Square Saint-Lambert in the 15th from 12:30 – Be quick as we can only imagine stock will be limited and given on a first come first serve basis.
