News of the cancelled 2015 Corrida de Noel in Issy-les-Moulineaux didn’t deter members of the Expatriés Triathlon club from creating their own festive fun run. Fourteen members dressed up in their Santa costumes and ran a 10km distance along the Seine from the Eiffel Tower to “The Frog” at Bercy Village where they celebrated with a Christmas Brunch.
This is the latest in a series of events Expatriés Triathlon have organised. In November 2015 they arranged a Kilt and Drink Run to celebrate Saint Andrew’s day. The 5km run used Scottish pubs as checkpoints, including the “Auld Alliance” in the 4th arrondissement, “The Thistle” in the 2nd and at the finishing line “The Highlander” Pub in the 6th. The Christmas run was a fundraiser as Vice-President Kathryn will be heading off to Madagascar for 10 weeks to volunteer with the charity organisation, Azafady in early 2016.
