Sacha Toubart was born just outside Burnley (England) to a French father and an English mother. In 1991, he was called up for his French military service, after which he never returned home.
As a young, ambitious man, he seized the opportunity to work in Disneyland Paris’ biggest establishments when they first opened in 92-93. After managing Billy Bob’s Disney, Sacha moved from the suburbs into Paris where he became the evening shift manager at Planet Hollywood. There he got to meet many expatriates from the UK, North America and Australia. He went on to make a name for himself in the pub business, when, in 2005, he became the manager of the well-known British pub, the Bombardier.
In 2011 it was time for Sacha to try flying with his own wings. He wanted to create his own, English style pub with a warm welcoming touch, that would be a great social place for both expats and locals. He found some empty premises in the 9th arrondissement, just seconds away from the night-life quarter of Pigalle and the very attractive areas of Opera and Galleries Lafayette.
The Coq and Bulldog, has since been the scene for some great parties and many sporting events! With all the top football, rugby, American football, tennis, golf, boxing and cricket events shown live with French or English commentary, The Coq and Bulldog has become a real sports enthusiasts’ meeting point.
