Serve the City Paris is part of a larger network, Serve the City International, a global movement of volunteers showing kindness in practical ways. Their main volunteering opportunity in Paris is the weekly distribution of surplus food from Prêt à Manger to those in need on the streets. Not only do you do something incredibly kind in your day, but you can also meet and socialize with many other interesting volunteers.
Over the last 12 months the group has made great efforts to develop partnerships with other organisations in Paris, supporting and organising events with groups such as Kabubu and Lost in Frenchlation’s refugee solidarity awareness film event. They are currently working on several new projects to provide even more volunteering opportunities. One main project is ‘English pour tout le monde’ which will offer free English language assistance to less privileged groups, starting at the beginning of 2019.
