Best After-School Activity in Paris 2017 – Best of Paris 2017

There is such a growing number of after-school activities serving the international community, that ultimately, the real winners for the Best After-School Activity category are the children and their parents! A combined total of 1,700 votes were registered, and the activity that came out on top was Matt Black’s Rock U (www.rock-u.fr) – a performance-based rock band program in English that’s as rewarding as it is fun! Matt says, “Bring your instrument of choice and jam with musicians your age, getting ready to play a live concert. Being in a band isn’t just about playing the notes and the beats – it’s about responsibility, confidence, teamwork, trust, and the thrill of creating something with others that you could never create by yourself!” In second place on the podium, The Roaming Schoolhouse (www.r-sh.fr), as the name implies, is a mobile school with classes in different locations throughout the week, depending on demand in the area. Classes are aimed at children growing up in the French educational system with English as a regularly used language. American Children’s Theatre (www.actparis.com) and Rock That Stage live music school (www.rockthatstage.net)were other popular choices.
